How to Download and Install Cisco Security Device Manager (SDM) Version 2.3.1

Step 1: Check the Requirements

Before you download and install SDM, make sure that your router meets the following requirements:

Your router must have Cisco IOS Software Release 12.4(8) or later.

Your router must have an IP address assigned to one of its interfaces.
